Job Summary:

The Nutrition Services Operations Manager in collaboration with the Director of Nutrition Services has accountability, authority, and responsibility for operational and human resource management for Nutrition Services. The Nutrition Operations Manager schedules training and implements quality management initiatives related to foodservice standards and customer service excellence. The Nutrition Services Operations Manager fosters the integration of the organization’s vision and values and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan through an accountable work team. The Nutrition Services Operations Manager collaborates with customers, families, physicians, administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused and healing environment focused on wellness and sacred experiences. May have direct oversight over patient services, retail and production.

The current open position will oversee all aspects of Patient Services including: Ambassadors, Diet Clerks, Transporters, Trayline Servers, Dishroom. Must have knowledge and experience in patient services in an acute care setting. They will oversee approximately 40 employees. This manager will be tasked with visiting patients, building relationships with nursing directors and managers, improving patient satisfaction, and be responsible for the team that delivers meals to patients.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Mathematic capabilities commensurate with job responsibilities

· Ability to train and utilize culinary techniques

· Ability to create, test, scale, follow, read and write recipes

· A desire to create and be a part of ‘world class’ food service. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Customer service oriented

· Creative, innovative, and receptive to change

· Proficient in Windows Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

· Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition related field and/or CDM

· 10+ years of foodservice management experience

· 5+ Years of Position-Related Experience (includes both experiences acquired at AHSM and elsewhere)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· Master’s Degree

· Registered Dietitian

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED :

· ServSafe Manager Certification

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

· Certified Dietary Manager
