Work Hours/Shift:

Full time days

You Will Be Responsible For:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Computer skills

Typing ability

Telephone communication and etiquette skills

Knowledge of all commercial insurance, Medicare and managed care

Enters referrals into current software system after receiving intake.

Pulls appropriate documents from Cerner, Epic, or from the physicians office.

Doing insurance verification to assure that there is not another home care agency involved.

Professional communication with: case managers, home care coordinators, physicians office regarding taking referrals and follow-up phone calls to inform of acceptance of referral.

Scan all appropriate documents into Image Now.

Provide the Clinical Supervisor with an original copy of referral and all appropriate documents.

Coordinates with Infusion Company.

Orders and coordinates with DME Company.

Comply with all department policies, procedures, practices and standards of care

Demonstrate cost-effective practices

Participate in orientation, in-service and staff meetings as scheduled

Secures patient confidentiality by protecting patient information on and off duty

Seeks opportunities for self-growth and career advancement

Complete related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, Manager or Director

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Demonstrated knowledge of home health care services

Knowledge and compliance with all local, state, federal and other regulatory agencies

A high level of multitasking, organization and proactive communications skills are necessary

Problem solving abilities

Positive interpersonal communication skills

Must possess sound judgment and critical thinking skills

Team and customer service oriented

Must be able to manage multiple details, tasks and decision-making abilities under busy and stressful working conditions

Basic computer skills required

Job Summary:

Responsible to ensure that all referrals all entered into Current software system after receiving intake, pulling appropriate documents from Cerner, Epic, or from the physicians office. Doing insurance verification to assure that there is not another home care agency involved. Professional communication with: case managers, home care coordinators, physicians office regarding taking referrals and follow-up phone calls to inform of acceptance of referral. Once patient is entered and approved for service scan all appropriate documents into the system and provide the Clinical Supervisor with an original copy. Assist with answering incoming phone calls and distribute to the appropriate personnel. Attends meetings including but not limited to; staff meetings, in-services, case conferences, educational classes, office meetings and/or organizational meetings.
