You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Provides executive leadership to the design, build and scaling of both internal and external innovations that drive direct strategic and economic value to the West Florida Division.

  • Leads the development and deployment of new revenue and profit growth strategies across the global partnership business unit portfolio to include operational program development, real estate development, research & program development, new product development, educational initiatives, international corporate alliances, new venture development, mergers & acquisitions, international consulting, collaborations and affiliations.

  • Develops financial and division processes of transaction strategy and execution, including mergers & acquisitions, negotiations, valuation, due diligence and integration approach. Responsible for managing internal and external resources in a transaction to include business plan development, staff allocation, strategic and financial analysis, business modeling, determination of synergies, valuations and contract issues.

  • Leads the development, validation, and deployment of ‘blue ocean’ strategies that create new revenue and profit streams from new national and international opportunities.Source and vet companies and solutions that can positively affect the Triple Aim mandate as well as contribute to Second Curve healthcare strategies.

  • Establishes an innovation strategy & process that allows for rapid and disciplined decision making, prototyping and execution of strategic initiatives. Leads analysis of external, existing or targeted partners’ strategic plans and identifies opportunities for alliances that align to the West Florida Division strategic imperatives.

  • Develops, prioritizes and recommends to West Florida Division senior leadership strategic options for target growth areas and potential company/solution investment while building an active innovation & deal pipeline. Includes the development of national and international strategic partnerships with financial firms and high-tech knowledge communities, including relationship structure, capital and mentor network development, and long-term value strategies for AH.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Services Administration or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of senior leadership position in Business or Corporate Development, New Ventures, Strategic Planning, Innovation, Strategic Partnerships or related roles in a hospital or healthcare environment.

  • Strategy, corporate development, operations management of new healthcare businesses

  • Prior start-up environment & project management experience in a healthcare role

  • Executive leadership, team building, budgeting and direct financial accountabilities

  • Business unit and department operational oversight and leadership

  • Proven healthcare operational and financial management experience

  • New revenue creation and new business model development

  • Corporate contracting, fundraising and partnership development

  • International strategy, corporate and affiliation development

  • Government affairs and political support building

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Senior Executive Officer (SEO) of Non-Acute Services, serves as Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Strategic Innovation and Partnerships. The AVP is responsible for providing executive leadership to the process of building and growing a culture of innovation for the West Florida Division; developing a vision, short and long-term strategies; and a comprehensive organizational and financial plan. Develops and leads the regional strategies for the development and growth of strategic innovation and global partnership initiatives. Manages organizational, business, financial and strategic goals, objectives and related metrics to ensure alignment with AdventHealth (AH) West Florida Division’s vision and mission. The AVP of Strategic Innovation & Partnerships also provides executive collaboration with multiple departments and business functions to include Corporate Partnerships, Strategic Innovation, Florida Hospital Innovation Lab (FHIL), Adventist Technology Innovation Lab (ATIL), Design Center, International Partnerships, Economic Development, Translational Research & Intellectual Property Commercialization, Strategic Initiatives & Projects, and Mergers & Acquisitions that produce both strategic and economic value to the facilities within the West Florida Division ultimately driving increased access to quality health care at a lower cost. The AVP leads the development of technology and innovation that impact direct-to-consumer initiatives including wellness and care navigation support in the West Florida Division.
