You Will Be Responsible For:

You will be responsible for:

Utilize knowledge of the levels of growth, development, and skills for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric care for purposes of clinical spiritual ministry and clinical spiritual leadership learning.
Engage fully in learning and ministry, maintaining investment in personal learning and growth as well as the art and skill of spiritual care giving.
Responsible to the Director of Pastoral Education and their CPE Certified Educator-Supervisor. Maintains communication, collaboration and accountability with leaders in the Department of Pastoral Care.
Provide regular and consistent spiritual care to patients and their families as scheduled and appropriate, without exception, regardless of: faith, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, social or financial status, always caring for patients and staff with respect and dignity.
Work closely with nursing and other care team members to discuss issues of patient care and to provide support during personal and/or spiritual crises.
Take on-duty and on-call as assigned and scheduled, communicating professionally with others any schedule changes that may be necessary.
Conduct devotional services and chapel services as assigned.
Make routine spiritual care contacts, connect with pre-surgery patients, nursing units, and respond to crisis calls appropriately and in a timely fashion when on duty.
Perform duties and spiritual care ministry in compliance with the Policies for the Department of Pastoral Education and the Department of Pastoral Care.
