What You Will Need:
Current licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Florida. If licensed in another state, verification of application for Florida licensure must be submitted within 30 days of hire date.
Board Certified in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Care (WOCN) or Certified as Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (CHRN) or obtain either certification within 12 months of hire date.
BLS upon hire.
4 hours Hip and Knee Replacement education within 6 months of hire date, then annually.
2 hours Stroke education within 6 months of hire date, then 1 hour annually.
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing ARNP Degree in Nursing or related specialty area.
One or more years as ARNP practice experience.
One year of practice in which leadership and teaching competence has been demonstrated.
The Advanced Wound, Ostomy and Continence ARNP provides Advanced Care Nursing Practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, Florida Statute, Chapter 464 and the Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 6489-4, Administrative Policies pertaining to Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners. The Advanced Wound, Ostomy and Continence ARNP serves as a care consultant and provider for patients with complex wound care needs and ostomy management. Accountable for collaborating with the health care team to define and communicate care needs and ostomy management. Accountable for collaborating with the health care team to define and communicate the expected patterns of care for this patient population, the Advanced Wound , Ostomy and Continence ARNP: works in conjunction with supervising physicians to manager and treat surgical, advanced wound care, ostomy and continence related condition; provides leadership for education and research programs to support the advancement of wound and ostomy care and improvement of patient outcomes through implementation of evidenced based practice; serves as a resource leader, and role model for wound and ostomy care and functions as a liaison with the community, other health care professionals, and other disciplines regarding areas of wound and ostomy care.
