Work Hours/Shift:

Variable Shift W/Call during the week and weekends

You Will Be Responsible For:

TECH 1: Entry Level/New Graduate Position

  1. Can perform basic radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures to include upper GI Series, Barium Enemas, IVP and Voiding Static Cystograms.

  2. Can perform portable exams.

  3. Can operate all radiographic rooms.

  4. Can work with minimal assistance in ER and Main Radiology.

SERVICE:

  • Patients First/Service Management/Standards of Excellence.

  • Resolves customer service issues in a timely and efficient manner, treating all customers with courtesy. Communicates issues to Supervisor.

  • Proficiently performs technical imaging procedures on different patient age groups and ability to teach the same.

  • Provides imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of sex, age or race. Provides patients with efficient and courteous care.

  • Proficient on the proper use and operation of the specific imaging equipment and the department policies and procedures. PEOPLE:

  • Cooperation, collaboration, diversity and teamwork.

  • Demonstrates effective communication, skills with all staff, patients, families and Imaging Services Administration.

  • Works with department staff to facilitate patient care across modalities.

  • Works in conjunction with other departments (I.E. OR, ED) to facilitate patient care.

  • Department Press Ganey Scores are achieved. FINANCE:

  • Cost reduction, expense management and effective use of supplies.

  • Efficient utilization of department supplies and resources.

  • Reports any equipment malfunctions and discontinues use before the problem leads to a more costly repair. OUTCOMES:

  • Performance Improvement/Accountability.

  • Proficiently performs technical imaging procedures safely and in accordance with FHT standards of care, selecting proper technical factors and proper patient position.

  • Is familiar and complies with appropriate JCAHO standards and directives. Able to teach the same.

  • Wears TLD Badge daily reviews radiation exposure reports and uses radiation restrictive devices on all examinations. Follow ALARA.

  • Follows Patient Identification/Verification Process prior to performing all patient exams/procedures.

  • Monitors and accesses patients during Exam/Procedure in accordance with established Guidelines. GROWTH:

  • Demonstrates evidence of continuous professional development.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • High School education or equivalent and graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Associates Degree in a related field

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED :

  • State of Florida Radiologic License

  • ARRT Registered or Registry eligible

  • CPR

  • BLS required
