The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Medical Group

The role you’ll contribute:

Schedules patients for surgery and preoperative testing as indicated. Reviews patient medications and health histories, as needed.

· Schedules patients for surgery and completes facility paperwork

· Obtains necessary scheduling, demographic, insurance, and clinical information to schedule, cancel, or reschedule events by calling the physician office, department, or a scheduling supervisor with a minimum of call transfers or callbacks

· Schedules surgeries with physicians and physician office staff by method used at that facility.

· Maintains each hospital schedules by different methods i.e. calls, faxes, etc.

· Consistently maintains and improves skills such as telephone etiquette, typing accuracy/speed, and communications

· Calls designated departments with information for add-on cases if patients are not yet admitted to the hospital.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

· High School Grad or Equivalent

· One year of technical experience

· One year of Cerner scheduling experience
