The Neurodiagnostic Technologist Pool Non Registered is responsible for the performance of all neurodiagnostic procedures in accordance with technical standards set forth by the American Society of Neurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I is required to maintain and improve his/her level of clinical and technical knowledge. Show organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, and computer skills appropriate to position. Team work and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.

Educates procedures to patients, elicits and records medical history from patient and/or charts
Performs accurate neurodiagnostic recordings in a hospital setting, and is able to transport machine carefully and safely
Ensures EEG testing area is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times
Performs routine maintenance on equipment, as needed, to ensure that EEG equipment is sanitary and properly functioning at all times.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Graduate from Neurodiagnostic educational program
BLS certification, eligible for certification by the American Board of Registered Electroencephalograph Technologist
Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate with all ages, socioeconomic and educational levels
Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Windows – based operating systems
Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
Ability and willingness to work independently and make frequent decisions and judgments in clinical areas, within the spectrum of expertise.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and take call as assigned.
