Work Hours/Shift:


You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Demonstrates the ability to interpret age specific data, plan and implement radiologic procedures based on interpretation of findings.

  • Plans work schedules for those personnel under his/her supervision, sufficient and appropriate for patient requirement. Makes arrangement for temporary help as needed. Prepares call schedule for Interventional Radiology.

  • Participates in the orientation of new staff technologists and student technologists. Reviews orientation checklist to assure that technologists have been trained in all areas.

  • Collects pertinent data about the patient and the procedure. Uses consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from the medical record, significant others and health care providers. The collection of information is determined by the patient needs or condition.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills of radiation safety parameters pertinent to radiologic procedures.


What You Will Need:


  • Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and to demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Minimum two years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist


  • Current ARRT certification

  • Current Florida license in Radiologic Technology

  • Basic Life Support Certification

Job Summary:

With initiative and independent judgement, performs advisory and professional duties, in supervising the work of the staff technologists and other related auxiliary personnel. Serves as a liaison between the Radiologists and staff technologists in matters of patient care and procedure. This is a working supervisor position. The Imaging Services Supervisor performs radiographic examinations that create images for diagnosis. Radiography integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. Radiographers prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate Radiographic examinations.
