Work Hours/Shift:

Full-Time/ Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Rounds on new patients and patients with respiratory modalities

  • Creates a patient-centered atmosphere that breeds excellent clinical and service outcomes

  • Assists with patient satisfaction/patient experience to assure patients are delighted with their care

  • Oversees respiratory participation in interdisciplinary team meeting with CUSP meetings

  • Rounds daily with physicians


What You Will Need:

  • Graduate of accredited Respiratory Therapy School

  • National Board of Respiratory, graduate eligible

  • Minimum of two (2) years management/team leader experience

  • State of Florida BLS and ACLS, PALS, NRP

Job Summary:

Supervises all aspects of Respiratory Therapy in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, regulations, and guidelines to assure the highest degree of quality care is rendered at all times. Along with their leader, is responsible for staffing and scheduling to provide adequate coverage for provision of care for all patients with pulmonary needs. Develops strong relationships with physicians and other referral sources. The Respiratory Team Lead ensures compliance with the established Florida Hospital pulmonary programs. Maintains open and on-going communications with their leader to ensure patient, staff, and facility needs are met. It is the Florida Hospital philosophy that ongoing clinical competence requires regular clinical practice and the respiratory team leader will take patient assignments as situations warrant, including assisting Physicians with Bronchoscopies: patient transports; monitoring of documentation. Appropriate activities include loading all department meetings, staff scheduling, and provision of direct patient care. Staff development and improvement of clinical skills for clinical team is also a priority of this position. The expectation for the Team Lead is to be an Ambassador to patients and families for better patient outcomes and satisfaction; monitoring of documentation and overseeing revenue cycle and charges, process improvement department program, department safety officer they will also maintain PFT levels and certification of ABG machine. The Team Lead will oversee the education process (BLS, Smoking Cessation,). Assist with new employee and yearly education competencies. This position is a full time day shift position, with occasional weekends required as clinical situation warrants.
