Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time, Day

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Weekly follows up on all accounts within the work list according to follow up procedures.

  • Obtains, validates and updates insurance and patient biographic information, documenting changes, and requesting re-bills when necessary.

  • Documents all pertinent information of activity in the collector comments on patient account.

  • Identify and resolve incorrect payment and adjustments by evaluating insurance, payer, and patient information.

  • Conscientiously uses good judgment when working with patients to resolve balances by making payment arrangements (payment in full, loans, credit cards, time payments and charity)

  • Reviews account for transfer to bad debt.

  • Must be compliant with state and federal regulations as they relate to Patient Financial Services.

  • Project a positive and helpful demeanor while working with patients, visitors, physicians, insurance companies and staff.

  • Works return mail.

  • Handles correspondence.

  • Assist Insurance Representative when necessary.


What You Will Need:


  • Must be proficient in the English language.

  • Must be proficient with computer key board and data entry.


  • High School diploma/equivalent required.

  • Hospital or insurance experience preferred.

  • Customer Service or Billing experience preferred.
