Work Hours/Shift:
  • Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Collects and organizes blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples from patients
  • Communicates with physicians regarding image results
  • Assists physicians when inserting catheters and performing other invasive procedures
  • Interprets test results to determine diagnoses and provides treatment recommendations
  • Ensures equipment is in working order and ready for use
  • Assists in the pre, post, and intra-operative care of patients undergoing procedures in the Cath lab
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Must be certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Must possess and maintain one of the following:
  • Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)]
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
 
Job Summary:
Under close supervision the Cardiovascular Interventional Tech I is a new Cardiovascular Technology graduate or a newly hired Registered Nurse (RN), Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)], or Respiratory Therapist (RRT), cross training to perform effectively in all three roles (scrub, circulate, monitor) which are utilized during a variety of Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients.
