Work Hours/Shift: Fulltime Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Serves as the supervisor for Medical Assistants and/or other staff as required. May not Supervise LPN’s or RN’s

  • Participates in interviewing applicants, conducting employee discipline and attends required supervisor training per AHMG leadership requirements

  • Serves as effective mentor and educational resource to staff

  • Serves as a lead regarding billing or coding issues at the practice

  • Responsible for PSQA/Care Gap Closure Scores

  • Responsible for ensuring clinical employees’ licensure and certification and office licensure is up to date

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required

  • Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following:

  • American Association of Medical Assistants (“AAMA”) for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA)

  • American Medical Certification Association (“AMCA”) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC)

  • American Medical Technologists (“AMT”) for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

  • National Association for Health Professionals (“NAHP”) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)

  • National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)

  • National Healthcareer Association (“NHA”) for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

  • Current, valid CPR certification is required

  • Must be willing to float to other AdventHealth Medical Group practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules etc. make it necessary

  • Ability to communicate in English.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Supervisor, under limited supervision, is responsible for providing hands-on clinical care to patients as well as training, directing, and guiding back office staff in monitoring and expediting workflow. This position helps in ensuring the back-office operations of the office function smoothly and that staff are adhering to clinical policies and procedures. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodates services for the physicians and the practice, following established standard, practices, policies, and procedures.
