Work Hours/Shift:

Full time, Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Assists the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing medication.

  • Prepares sterile products such as IV solutions, piggyback containers, and cytotoxic drugs, irrigations, TPN's, epidurals, prefilled syringes, reconstituting of medications under aseptic conditions.

  • Accurately refills Pyxis Medstations; accurately conducts inventory of Pyxis Medstation and accurately loads and unloads medications.

  • Maintains pharmacy inventory, including checking for expiration dates, rotation of stock, and proper handling of medications.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma

  • Current Florida license as a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern.

  • 1yr of Hospital or Retail Pharmacy Tech experience preferred.

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification (CPhT) within 6 months of hire.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician II, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs delegated duties, tasks and functions associated with the provision of pharmacy services within the hospital.
