- Full Time Day Shift
You Will Be Responsible For:
Maintain a comprehensive employee health program that includes post offer pre-employment assessment, annual screening and related employee health services.
Provides pre-employment drug screening for potential new hires.
Responsible for maintaining drug screening of employees for reasonable suspicion.
Provides drug screening for employee injury results in workers' comp claims and reports results to Human Resources Director.
Provides HIV education and counseling for needle sticks as required.
Works closely with AHS Workers’ Comp claims, tracking employee injuries and reviewing OSHA log for distribution.
What You Will Need:
Registered Nurse License in State of Florida
Basic Life Support (BLS)- (Accredited through American Heart Association) required
Experience: 1 to 2 years of Employee/Occupational Health experience preferred
Education: BSN or MSN, or Bachelor/Masters in Healthcare related field preferred
Employee health nurse conducts pre-employment physical examination to ensure that prospective employees meet the physical requirements of a job. Administers immunizations against infectious diseases and follow up on any adverse reactions. Employee health nurse may develop or lead training sessions on topics such as infectious diseases, chemical exposure and the use of personal protective equipment. Documents the training efforts and evaluate the effectiveness of such programs by administering post-training assessments.
