Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full Time Night Shift

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • The provision of Registered Nurse care to assigned patients in accordance with current BH Standards of Care.

  • Demonstrating knowledge and application of the nursing process as it relates to patients and families.

  • Collaborating with health team members, patients/families in the provision of care.

  • Delegating and providing direct supervision to other health team members as appropriate in the implementation of the patient care plan.

  • Med/Surg Oncology Registered Nurses act as an advocate for patients/families/significant others.

  • Practicing within accepted ethical and legal parameters of nursing.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • 1 Year of Experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical Hospital Environment.

  • Must be willing to float to different nursing units.

  • RN license required

  • BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members. Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN provides care consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of the facility and the Florida State Board of Nursing Practice Act.
