The role you’ll contribute:

Performs EEG’s, Sleep deprived EEGs and may need to perform intra-surgical EEG monitoring. Responsible for recording electrical activity of the patient's brain to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders and localizing lesions in the cerebrum. Maintains EEG data base. May need to take call.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Obtains patient's medical history from chart and patient; documents patient information on EEG computer system.

• Performs EEG’s as ordered. Properly places EEG electrodes on patient according to 10-20 method and established standards. Obtains recording and transfers to physician reading station.

• Stocks supplies

• Cleans EEG machine routinely

• Notifies nurse if patient in pain

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• BLS

• Certificate of completion from accredited EEG program
