You Will Be Responsible For:
Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
Ability to perform waived testing (point-of-care testing) per Clinical Laboratory’s and the hospital’s policies and procedures.
Ability to interpret results of waived tests; take appropriate action on waived tests results.
Demonstrates competence in preparing and cleaning of the OR suites before, between and after each case.
Identifies physical symptoms and changes and takes appropriate actions in a timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of anesthetic drugs, actions and side effects. Makes decisions reflecting knowledge of dysrhythmias, or respiratory changes followed by appropriate treatment.
What You Will Need:
2 year Associate Degree; Diploma RN or BSN
Current in CPR adult and pediatric within 1 month of hire
ACLS within 6 months of hire
PALS within 1 year of hire
NIHSS within 6 months of hire
Licensed registered nurse accountable for providing preoperative assessment, intraoperative case management and patient care in collaboration with other perioperative professionals to provide safe and effective patient care for all age groups of patients. Serves as a leader of a nursing team providing care for patients, may be assigned to carry out Charge Nurse functions.
