The role you’ll contribute:

The EMR Chart Analyst facilitates the electronic health record completion process. Analyzes and final check the Electronic Medical Record to comply with Florida Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, General Rules and Regulations, and departmental, and JCAHO policies and procedures. Reviews and analyzes requests to determine whether a duplicate medical record number may be able to be merged. Merges double medical records as appropriate. Responsible for working and responding to the physician refused inbox to address any concerns electronically received. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Maintains knowledge of JCAHO requirements and Florida Hospital rules and regulations regarding EMR completion and provide explanation when appropriate.

  • Accurately updates deficiencies in the HIM Patient Deficiency Analysis ensuring that each entry is accurately assigned to the physician responsible for its completion.

  • Accurately update and maintain task queues for workflow and follow up as needed.

  • Verifies all appropriate reports are present and authenticated upon final checking of charts.

  • Tracks content of History and Physical for each analyzed chart.

  • Answer the telephone within three rings with the appropriate greeting.

  • Reviews and analyzes medical record combine requests and performs as appropriate

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications - External

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Basic PC knowledge

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Previous office or medical record experience
